Privacy Policy

HeyDidYou · Last updated June 9, 2026

HeyDidYou is a shared household task pad. It is built privacy-first: the things you write — tasks, lists, house magnets, events, and notes — live in your own iCloud and never touch our servers.

The short version: Your task content stays in your iCloud. We don't sell data, we don't track you across other apps, and we don't run third-party advertising.

What we store, and where

HeyDidYou separates your content from the small amount of operational data needed to run a paid, shareable app.

Subscriptions

HeyDidYou Pro is an auto-renewable subscription processed by Apple. Purchases are managed through your Apple Account; we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to validate and manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives a randomized app-user identifier and your purchase transaction info to keep your subscription in sync across your devices and household — it does not receive your name, email, or task content.

The list importer

When you paste a link or share a web page to import a list, HeyDidYou fetches that page on your device to find the list on it. The page address and contents are processed locally and are not sent to our servers.

Calendar

HeyDidYou does not access your calendar. Any future "suggest events from your calendar" feature will be opt-in and computed entirely on your device — calendar contents would never be uploaded.

What we don't do

Data sharing within your household

A pad is shared. People you invite to a pad can see and edit its contents through CloudKit sharing, and can see who completed or changed items. You control who is on a pad and can remove members at any time.

Children

HeyDidYou is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices and rights

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
